What sort of things do librarians do? Well this last few weeks has been all about mathematics and formulas and spreadsheets and population growth/decline. Also how do libraries contribute worth to our society? Answer: in all sorts of ways. How much $$ do they need to do this? Not as much as other sectors! But we need more - so the next lot of work we'll be doing is quantifying exactly how much..

Changed horses midstream

Well I've switched over from the Public Library version to the State Library version.

There is a big buzz in the public library space, and lots of blogs and wikis on professional (and other) topic have grown out of the course.

Week 3

Well, I've been in the position to hear lots of feedback from library staff from around NSW - the vibe certainly seems to be there! One person said that learning 2.0 is the best thing the state library has ever done. The formal feedback has been good too.

Next week the PLCC will get an update on the start of the learning 2.0 project - I will report back here with their comments.
